Those Crazy Bloggers

If you're an obsessive peruser of fashion blogs like me, you've no doubt noticed something strange going on in the fashion blogosphere. Click over to sites like Bohemian Musings, Fashion Toast, or Vanilla Scented and take a little stroll (or scroll) around. You'll notice Rumi of FashionToast, frolicking down the street in her floral dress and platforms "unaware" that the paparazzi (or her boyfriend) is snapping away with the camera. Then scroll down. Here's Rumi again. This time she's at the laundromat in a little black dress and layered chain necklaces. At the laundromat. Now let's take a field trip over to Bohemian Musings where Isabelle from Germany posts an endless amount of photos of herself in Hippie-inspired fashions. Her settings? Parks, marshes, bridges, cobblestone streets. She even balances on fences and wears garlands made of daisies.

Apparently this formula has gained Rumi and Isabelle quite large followings, but for me it raises some questions. Call me logical, but who exactly is taking these pictures of R and I? And who has the time to put together a not already used outfit every single day, find a not already used location to take photos of themselves in and after all that is said and done, find time to post their day's adventures before dinnertime? These bloggers must have highly dedicated best friends who are perhaps getting paid in clothing hand-me-downs. Don't people have jobs anymore? Or at least homework to do?

Anyway, despite my confusion, here I go contributing to this blogger vanity epidemic by posting photos from I Love Psycho, another such fashion blogger with a fondness for posting photos of herself in her daily styling creations. I'm loving the DIY safety pin shirt and the lacy boy shorts. And the mini bustier over tee-shirt combo. Just don't expect any photos of me opening taxi doors and juggling shopping bags on 5th Avenue anytime soon, okay? You can visit Rumi, Isabelle, and Psycho for that.
