Sisley in Flux

Sisley's S/S 2009 campaign is quite the 180 from the company's previous advertisements, which often depicted women in degrading scenarios or featured images used for shock value. I'm pleased that the company is taking a turn for the classier, and who better to revamp their brand image than Swedish photographer Camilla Akrans? She's recently been at the top of my radar with editorials in magazines like Harper's Bazaar, Numéro, Vogue Nippon, and T, The New York Times Style Magazine, and she makes every woman beautiful through her lens. Camilla's photographs are easily recognizable with her signature soft, almost dream-like lighting, and Sisley's new ad campaign proves to be no exception. As Sisley moves away from the "sex sells" advertising mantra, I'm curious to see how the company's new branding strategies will affect sales. All I know is that with Camilla behind the lens, they've definitely captured my attention!
